  “No tongue ring,” she said.

“I didn’t expect you to have one,” he replied.

“Not me, you. You don’t have a tongue ring.”

“Did you want me to,” he asked, a slight teasing to his tone.

“No, I just wondered.” Suddenly mortified at what she’d just admitted to Josh, Lydia bit the edge of her bottom lip to stop from saying more.

“I’ve always loved it when you do that,” he said kissing her again, using his teeth to tug her bottom lip free.

“I’ve wanted to kiss you for so long.” He smiled at her and added, “You know I have to fire you now. I can’t have you suing me for sexual harassment.”

“I was going to quit anyway,” she said.

“No, you weren’t. You love it here.”

“You’re right, but please don’t fire me,” Lydia said, “because then I’ll have to sue your ass off and own this coffee shop myself. That would be exhausting.”

“Damn, you’re amazing, you know that?” Before Lydia could answer he devoured lips her with another kiss.
